Trampoline Gymnastics

The first trampoline competition took place in Dallas, Texas, in 1947. In 1955, the first trampoline was introduced to Europe (Switzerland). In 1959, during a congress of the International Gymnastics Federation, trampoline gymnastics was recognized as an independent sport discipline.

On September 1, 1997, the International Olympic Committee decided to include trampoline individual competitions in the official program of the Olympic Games.

Trampoline gymnastics is a sport that is both athletic and aesthetic, challenging athletes in terms of both fitness and coordination. Various elements that combine somersaults and twists must be performed on a jumping mat measuring approximately 2.15 m x 4.30 m. There is the option to choose between trampoline jumping on the large apparatus (individual or synchronized) or the double mini trampoline. In both cases, good posture, high difficulty, jumping height, and secure execution are equally important.
