Artistic Gymnastics

Artistic gymnastics has its roots in the gymnastics movement, with the opening of the first public gymnastics area by "the father of gymnastics," Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, in 1811. Since the 1896 Olympic Games in Athens, it has been a core sport in the German Gymnastics Federation.

The women's discipline includes four apparatuses: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise, while the men's discipline comprises six apparatuses: floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar.

The competitive program in the German Gymnastics Federation ranges from compulsory exercises in recreational sports (P-levels) to the modified optional program in performance levels (LK) 1 to 4, and finally, to the optional program following the international regulations of the Code of Points (CdP).

Turn10® is a fantastic and highly successful program. The principle is quite simple: based on your skill level, you create your own routines and perform the ones you like the most. You can participate in competitions and/or train for your own performance badge (Gold, Silver, or Bronze).

What apparatuses are used in Turn10®?

Turn10® takes place on the floor, mini-trampoline, horizontal bar, and vault. The exercise content on these apparatuses is the same for men and women. Additionally, women use the balance beam, while men use the parallel bars, rings, and pommel horse (although rings and pommel horse are often omitted). Women can also choose to perform on the uneven bars instead of the horizontal bar.

Those who perform beautifully and with minimal risk have an advantage!
